Hi! I’m Rita Yvonne and welcome to The Pick-Me-Up (aka the P.M.U). I started this site during a dark period in my life when things seemed to be falling apart, and no matter what I did nothing seemed to work. It was an extremely lonely place and I had to find a way to encourage myself and boost my spirit to prevent it from sinking. I found my solace in writing down my experiences and reflections as a way of extracting lessons to motivate and encourage me. Hence the birth of this blog, to encourage, motivate and inspire.
Life is a rollercoaster of highs and lows but at your lowest remember that your darkest moments help make your brightest moments.
